Hi! I'm Andy.
My passion is to create stuff that helps others and my aim is to put a little bit of goodness back into the world. I never do something for the sake of it; there is always a question of experimentation/ improvement and of making a difference. I'm not afraid to try something new, so long as it aligns with certain principles at the heart of sound therapy (see my ScienceofSound page for those principals).
Sometimes, we find what we're good at from a young age and we stick with it all our lives, but for me, music and art have been a thread woven throughout my life that certain events have pulled me back to.
Challenging pespectives
I don't believe that sound heals people (you read that right folks!). But I do believe that sounds can help bring us into a state where some kind of transformation or alleviation can occur. (See my blog or ScienceOfSound page for more detail.) The possibility for "healing", wisdom and resilience is inside all of us; we just sometimes need a little help to find it. This is where I come in.
You are at the heart of what I do and no two soundbaths will ever be the same because although the principles of sympathetic resonance and entrainment don't change, how I use them differs based on a number of factors, including (but not limited to):
The selection of instruments used,
The intention of the session,
The physical, emotional and mental state of the attendee(s),
Weather & temperature,
Etc....
There are some instruments that you will always see, such as gongs, crystal bowls, percussion, while others will sometimes be present, such as steel tongue drums, Himalayan singing bowls, frame drum, flute etc. They'll always be something that you'll recognise and something slightly different. And although I always have a plan, I'm not afraid to change it to suit whatever I sense someone needs at a given moment during a soundbath.
Putting a little good back in the world
I take every step to make sure you have the very best experience and to facilitate this duty of care, I have a monthly self-care pack that arrives in your inbox once a month. I never contact you more than that unless replying to a question. It has some general self-care advice, some useful links and the occasional drum meditation or video. You can sign up for that here (email address is stored once in a secure, encrypted location and not shared with a 3rd party).
If you have any further questions, please contact me here.
I also have a blog.
Om Shanti
